Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season

In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.

The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
